Although Trinidad cigar brand has been produced since 1969, it became available to the world market only in February 1998.
Till that moment, Trinidad cigars were produced exclusively for Fidel Castro and used as a Diplomatic present from the
Government of the republic of Cuba.
In February 1998, Trinidad cigars became available to Canadian and Mexican markets. Later, in April of the same year,
Trinidad brand became accessible to the rest world market. The sizes of Trinidad cigars are similar to those of Cohiba Lancero , having at a ring gauge of 40 and a length of 7 and 3/4 inches or 195 mm.
Named after one of Cuba's most beautiful cities, the Trinidad is still produced only in the El Laguito factory, and packaged
in an 'unusual' quantity of 24 cigars as well as in cabinets of 50.
